After waiting a few weeks, the King and Queen finally reached a decision. “You’re sure about this,” King Endimion confirmed. “Haven’t you seen them together?” Neo-Queen Serenity said. “They truly love each other,” she explained.

“But my little girl…” King Endimion trailed off. “She’s not a child anymore, Endimion, we can’t make decisions for her,” she reminded him. “This is her choice,” the Queen finished. “Well, I suppose we should tell them,” King Endimion said.

“I wonder if they’ve made their decision?” Rini paced back and forth. “Don’t worry about it, my beautiful Rini,” Helios said confidently. “But I don’t…”

“Don’t know what, Small Serenity?” the King said. “We have reached our decision, Small Lady,” the Queen said. Rini winced at the thought of what they would say. “We will let Helios have your hand in marriage,” they said.

“You will???” Rini said with surprise. “Oh mom, dad!” Rini shouted with thanks. “I’m so grateful!” Rini said as she went over and hugged her parents.

“We must make preparations,” Neo-Queen Serenity declared.

Rini and Helios decided to get married right away, so they would never be apart. After waiting for about a week, the day had finally come.

Rini was in her room getting ready from the big day with help from her mother. “I’m so scared,” Rini said. “I don’t know if I can do this,” she said doubtfully.

“Of course you can,” Neo-Queen Serenity encouraged. “You love him, do you not?” she questioned. “More than anything,” Rini confirmed. “That is the most important thing,” the Queen assured. “I hope you’re right,” Rini said with some uncertainty.

In another room, Helios was getting ready. He was very nervous. Rini would have laughed to see him like this. He was so jittery and anxious. Helios couldn’t wait to marry his one and only love. He could imagine that Rini would be so beautiful and how happy they would be together. Or would Rini not be happy?

Helios had an awful feeling in his stomach. What if Rini didn’t feel the same way? She had wanted to go back. He just didn’t know the answer.

When the time for the wedding finally came, Rini was having second thoughts. “What if I’m wrong?” Rini asked her mother as she put the finishing touches on her gown.

Helios was also having some second thoughts. “What if she doesn’t feel the same way about me?” Helios asked King Endimion. “Did she tell you that she loved you?” he questioned.

“Well, yes, your majesty,” Helios remembered. “But…” the King interrupted him. “Then there is no problem,” the King responded. “I know that you make her very happy, and you’ll do fine.” “Thank you, your majesty,” Helios said with hesitance.
