Hey there! Sorry, I didn't submit my story on Sunday. To tell you the truth I ran out of inspiration and couldn't write for a while. Well, I did finish. As usual, I don't own any rights to Sailor Moon. But I DO own all the characters in this story. Flame me a lildragon@snet.net when your done. Thanx. -Pretty Sammi
"Zephyr, you have failed me," the Dragon Mistress said.
"But Mistress, please understand! They're not ordinary children! They're much stronger than I anticipated. Give me another chance!" Zephyr begged her.
"No, to do so would be a sign of weakness, and I am not weak. Guards, deal with her."
The Mistress' guards seized Zephyr and dragged her kicking and screaming out of the throne room.
"Jezzebel," she called. Jezzebel entered at her command. "You are my number one now. Don't fail me as Zephyr did."
"I promise Mistress. I will do away with those pathetic children," Jezzebel replied.

Miss Kyata Aslma,

to participate. Please send a response as soon as possible by calling
378-283-480-4619.
Sincerely, Haven City Council
"Wow! This is so neat! Take a look at this Aspasia!" Kyata yelled as she waved her invite in Aspasia's face. They were sitting by the pool when she had received her letter.
"Hmm, only the best swimmers... That is so cool Kyata. You have to go!" Aspasia said.
"Shouldn't you two be looking for the last Sailor Zodia?" Chi nagged as she appeared blow Kyata's pool chair.
"I have a social life too you know!" Kyata said, very frustrated. "This is the chance of a life time! I gotta do this!"
"Oh yeah!" Aspasia agreed. "You go girlfriend!"
~*~*~*~*~
"Hey Omiru!" Kyata said into the phone. "Guess what? I just got invited to this swim competition on Saturday. You have to be there."
"Alright, alright. I'll be there," Omiru answered.
"Ok great! See ya."
"Bye."
[How can humans get so excited about these things?] Chi thought.
[Oh, you are a grump. Go away, I'm in a good mood,] Kyata replied.
[I think that you should look for the last Sailor Zodia while you're at the convention,] Chi gave her opinion openly.
[Ok. There's usually a big crowd at these sorts of events. Now, Chi, if you wouldn't mind would you please GO AWAY?]
[Fine,] Chi sighed as she disappeared.
Kyata jumped into bed, where Apollo and Aries were waiting for a warm lap. "You two are like scavengers," Kyata said to them. She snuggled into the sheets with her two cats and a serene feeling washed over her. "Just three days until the event," Kyata sighed, and then she fell fast asleep.
~*~*~*~*~
Kyata spent the next two days swimming and training for the triathlon. Aspasia and Omiru often joined Kyata or cheered her on. Chi, on the other hand, spent most of her time on the dream-plane with Sailor Sagittarius discussing important matters such as the upcoming battles.
~*~*~*~*~
Kyata's limo pulled up to the sports arena and she stepped out. Omiru and Aspasia followed her. The place was crowded and there were reports everywhere.
"Come on, this way," Kyata led the two other girls around the building and through a backdoor to one of the girls' locker room. "Someone will be here soon to give me instructions."
Chi appeared there soon after the girls arrived. "Remember, you have to look for the last Sailor Zodia while you here. Sailors Leo and Aries have already completed their missions."
"Don't worry so much Chi," Omiru yawned. Then they heard footsteps coming down the hall.
"Chi, I really think that you better disappear before someone sees you," Aspasia suggested.
"I really wouldn't want to end up in a freak show," Chi laughed. "I'm going to take a look around." The fox quickly disappeared as the door opened and an older woman entered.
"Why hello there Miss Aslma," she said. "Welcome! The triathlon will start in 30 minutes, so you better get ready, Ok?"
"Sure, I'll be ready in a second."
"Good. I'll send someone for you before the event starts. And your friends can have some of the front row bleachers if they come with me now."
"That would be great," Omiru said.
"See ya, good luck!" Omiru and Aspasia chorused as they left.
Meanwhile...
Chi slipped through the shadows of the hallway. She found a place under a low-lying display case. She silently observed all who passed by with very little interest, until one girl cam along.
'What's this?' Chi thought. The girl looked human at first glance, but Chi knew better. The girl had knee length lavender colored hair and her skin had a faint yet lovely blue sheen. Chi followed the girl into a locker room very much like the one Kyata had been preparing in.
The girl sat down on a bench in front of a make up mirror, and as she pulled her hair back she began to sing a sweet, eerie tune. 'How beautiful,' Chi thought, 'but something isn't right about her. Could she be…?' Chi quickly disappeared and reported back to Kyata.
~*~*~*~*~
Kyata sat down on a bench and took off her cloths, revealing her tight fitting, one-piece swimsuit that she had been wearing underneath. She decided to meditate a bit to collect her racing mind, but, as soon as she started, Chi appeared.
"Oh, back so soon?" Kyata asked mockingly.
"I didn't need to do as much looking as I thought. I know who the last Sailor Zodia is," Chi said.
"Really? Who?"
"She's one of the competitors in the triathlon."
"Don't be silly," Kyata laughed.
"I'm completely serious. She's not even human, Kyata," Chi insisted.
"Yeah, right. You've been reading too many of my comics, fox-girl. If she's not human, wouldn't someone have noticed?" Kyata asked.
"Apparently not."
"So supposing she really isn't human, what's her name? What am I supposed to do?"
"Talk to her. See if she knows about her powers, although I would believe she does. After the triathlon of coarse."
"Sure, sure," Kyata still sounded mildly board.
"When you see the girl you'll know who I'm talking about, and then you'll believe me," Chi said as she disappeared. Very soon after, a woman entered the dressing room.
"Miss Aslma, dear, it's about time to start the race," the woman said. "I'd appreciate it if you would follow me."
"Great, lead on. I'm really psyched," Kyata replied.
~*~*~*~*~
Kyata was led to a locker room that opened into a giant swimming pool, where the triathlon would be held. It really was a site to see. The pool was covered by a huge glass dome, which helped keep the inside pool a comfortable, warm temperature. There were hundreds of bleachers for the spectators.
In just a few minutes the other competitors would join her, and they would all walk out into the dome. The first to join Kyata was a young man, who was about her age. 'Oh man, this guy is cute,' Kyata thought to herself.
"Hi, good luck," he said to Kyata.
"You too," Kyata smiled back. 'He nice too,' she thought. Unfortunately for her, more of her competitors entered befor should could star a conversation.
Kyata almost immediately noticed the girl Chi had told her about. "Yeah, something is defiantly weird about her," Kyata said to herself.
She had no more time to think about the strange girl since she almost immediately hurried into the swimming dome. The crowds of spectators were definitely scaring some of the participants, but Kyata didn't mind it. Neither did the girl with the lavender hair, which she had only pulled back into a low ponytail. 'Fool, your hair is going to slow you down,' Kyata thought.
"Our first event is going to be the two lap race," the announcer said, which wasn't as short as it sounds. One lap across the pool was extremely long; two was a giant's task. Kyata pulled ahead during the first lap, but during the second the girl took the lead with amazing ease. Kyata was in the lane next to her, and she began to notice something odd' the girl only took short breathes that seemed to last her forever. The girl won the race, and Kyata took second place.
The next event was a diving contest, in which every one of the contestants had to make a jump off the high dive. Kyata noticed that this wasn't the girl's strong point, and Kyata took first place. The girl didn't make it into the top three places.
The third event was the hardest, and it was one that Kyata had never experienced before. The participants had to swim through rings, which had been placed in their lanes. As they swam through a ring they had to grab a loosely attached ribbon, and who ever had the most ribbons won. Kyata didn't do as well in this event, and she missed several of the ribbons. The girl, on the other hand, preformed well and once again stole first place.
The awards ceremony was preformed almost as soon as the triathlon ended, and Kyata was beginning to wonder if she would ever get a chance to speak to the girl.
~*~*~*~*~
As Kyata walked down the hall towards her locker room she caught a glimpse of the strange girl down the hall. "Hey, wait up!" Kyata called to her. The girl stopped and waited.
Kyata skidded to a stop and bumped into a display cabinet. "Oops! Hey, you did a great job today. Congratulations!" Kyata said as she shook the girl's hand.
"Thank you," she said.
"I'm Kyata Aslma. What's your name?"
"I'm Mairine Sutaru Jaska. But you can just call me Sutaru, Ok?"
"Ok. I was wondering if I could talk with you for a little while."
"Get your stuff and come to my locker room with me. It gets so lonely when you're alone in those huge locker rooms," Sutaru requested.
"Yeah, sure," Kyata replied as she rushed off to grab her clothes and bag. The girls walked down the hall together. When they finally reached Sutaru's locker room Kyata was reluctant to address the Sailor Zodia issue, but luckily she didn't have to.
"Sailor Aquarius, I am who you've been searching for," She said as soon as the door closed, and the two could carry on a private conversation.
"How did...you know..." Kyata was utterly at a loss for words.
"Well, first of all I can read minds. That's how I knew. Secondly, the fox was right that I'm not human. I'm actually what your people would call a mermaid," Sutaru said casually.
"Oh my gosh! That is so cool!" Kyata exclaimed. "But I thought mermaids and that sort of stuff didn't exist here."
"I'm an off-planet visitor. I was originally sent to investigate the planet Earth, but I stayed here because it's easier to access the dream-plane from here," Sutaru explained. "My name really is Mairine Sutaru, no last name though," she giggled. "I'm also Sailor Pisces."
"So, why don't you come and sleep over at my house tonight. I'm assuming that the other Sailors will be there too."
"I guess that would be fine. I'll be ready whenever you are."
"Let's get going then!"
~*~*~*~*~
"Guys, this is Sutaru. Sutaru, this is Omiru and Aspasia, otherwise know as Sailor Virgo and Capricorn," Kyata said. The girls sat down in a circle on the floor of Kyata's room, and Aries jumped into Sutaru's lap.
"So, you're a mermaid?" Omiru asked.
"Sort of, like one," Sutaru responded.
"And you're psychic?" Aspasia inquired.
"Well, my people have to be. We do spend most of our time underwater, and you can't really talk underwater, can you?"
"That does make sense," Aspasia stated.
Chi appeared in the middle of the circle. "Hello, girls, having a good time?"
"Oh, so this is the fox?" Sutaru asked.
"Yes, the really annoying one,' Kyata added.
"Uh..." A small sweat bead formed on Chi's brow.
"She's cool," Omiru said confidently.
"Thanks Omiru," Chi sighed. "Anyway, I have some news. Sailor Sagittarius wants to have a meeting with you. She said it was urgent."
"I guess we should split then," Omiru said as she stood up.
"Right," Kyata agreed. "Do your stuff Chi."
Chi's moonstone began to glow and with a bright flash the girls disappeared.
~*~*~*~*~
The girls transformed when they reached the dream-plane. Sutaru's uniform was lavender and aqua-blue.
"Sailor Sagittarius' house is just over that hill," Sailor Virgo said.
As they girls crested the hill they found Sagittarius waiting for them, but the landscape had began to change. There were several black spots scaring the perfect landscape of the unicorns' field.
"I'm glad you could get here so quickly," Sagittarius said to them. "One of the Dark Zodia Dragon warriors planted a dark seed near here and it's started to take root. I'm afraid that if we can't destroy it, the seed will drain this land and eventually kill the unicorns."
"Show us to it," Capricorn said. Sagittarius swiftly led them to a devastated field, and in the middle of the field was a small tree with black leaves.
"That's it?" Virgo asked.
"Yes, it's only a baby now," Sagittarius told them, "But soon it will grow to an enormous size. We have to uproot it while it's still young and its roots have not dug to far down into the ground."
"Right, let's take care of that weed right now," Aquarius insisted. "I'll destroy it. Celestial Typhoon!"
The attacks crashed into the tree, but as the dust settled the Sailors were in for a surprise. A small black shield had formed around it, and the tree wasn't even affected!
"What? What happened?" Pisces asked in disbelief.
"I don't think you'll be destroying my little baby anytime soon," A voice said from above. The five girls looked up to find Jezzebel hovering above them.
"You again? Did you come back for a real fight?" Virgo was furious.
"No, I think I'll let someone else do the dirty work for me. Come forth, Botannia!" A demon with green skin and slits for eyes appeared next to Jezzebel.
"What shall I do for you?" it asked.
"Eliminate these pests, I do not wish for them to damage my beautiful trees." Jezzebel commanded it.
"With pleasure," Botannia replied as Jezzebel disappeared. "Poison thorn!" The demon shot several needles from her fingertips at the Sailors. They jumped out of the way and Sailor Capricorn launched a powerful Cyclone Stallion attack at the demon. It hit with perfect accuracy and the demon shrieked.
Pisces noticed something as Capricorn's attack hit the demon. "Hey, Aquarius," she called out to her nearest companion. "Look at the tree!" The black shield around the tree make a crackling sound and it temporarily weakened.
"Oh, I see," Aquarius said.
"I can distract the demon for long enough that you can break the shield," Pisces proposed.
"Great idea!"
"Siren's Melody!" Pisces yelled. A strange tune floated through the air, and the monster covered it's ears and screeched with pain. Just like Pisces predicted, the black shield started crackling again.
"My turn! Celestial Typhoon!" Aquarius yelled. A pillar of water spiraled towards the black shield and shattered it on contact, leaving the deadly tree defenseless.
"I'll finish it!" Virgo said. "Lovely Star!" The small ball of light flew at the tree and exploded. As the tree was destroyed the demon Botannia withered and dissolved into dust. "Yes!"
"Good job," Sagittarius congratulated her teammates.
"Well, I guess our job here is done, for now," Capricorn said. "What an exciting day."
"You said it," Aquarius agreed. "Is there anything else we can do while we're here Sagittarius?"
"No," she sighed. "The land will heal in time. I suggest that you go home and get well rested. We're going to meet with Leo and Aries soon in the future; we just have to make final arrangements. I'll have Chi tell you when."
"Sure thing," Virgo smiled. "Good bye for now."
The four girls held hands, and, accompanied by a flash of light, they warped back to reality.
