The Sailor Aquarius Saga
Chapter 4; Adopted sister? - Meet Sailor Capricorn

Kyata was dining peacefully with her parents, and she was having her favorite meal - grilled crab. She thought that her world couldn't possibly be more perfect, and she was absolutely right. It would only get worse.

"Kyata, dearest, we have something to talk to you about," her father said.

"Not another sex talk right?" she asked in a mildly bored manner.

"No," her mother said. "You see, one of my distant but close cousins died in a car accident a while ago. She had one child, a girl your age, and well, your father and I decided to adopt her. She'll be arriving here tomorrow."

"WHAT?! Why didn't you tell me this before? How long has it been since you signed the adoption papers?" Kyata was positively enraged.

"Well dear, to tell you the truth we didn't know how to tell you. It was just so complicated. Please try to be nice to her," Kyata's father insisted.

"Fine, but I won't forgive you two for a long time," Kyata said as she stormed off towards her room.

~*~*~*~*~

"You look upset," Chi said as Kyata entered her room.

"Of course I'm upset! How could I not be upset? And you deciding to make my bedroom your new home isn't helping!" Kyata yelled.

"What's troubling you?"

"My parents decided to adopt a very distant cousin I don't even know and they just told me tonight! She'll be here tomorrow! I can't believe them at all!" Kyata half fell onto her bed. Aphrodite snuggled up to her and purred.

"Why don't you have a nice swim? That always calms your nerves," Chi suggested.

"I'm too angry to swim! I'm too angry to do anything!" Kyata raged on.

"How about sleep? I could sooth you into it if you need me to."

"Fine," Kyata said as she yanked off her clothes and threw on a big t shirt and some blooming flannel pants. She climbed into bed and curled up with Aphrodite on the pillow next to her. "Magic away Chi."

Chi's moonstone pendant began to glow. Then it emitted a small beam that directed itself at Kyata's forehead. As soon as it touched her she fell asleep.

~*~*~*~*~

The next morning Kyata was awakened by one of her servants. "Your mother wishes for you to dress quickly," she said. "You sister will be arriving soon."

"Yeah all right," Kyata grumbled as she got out of bed. She looked into her closet and pulled out a pretty melon and lavender colored kimono with red flowers. Kyata managed to tie on the matching obi after much difficulty. As Kyata began to pull her hair back with her favorite head wrap when she heard a familiar voice.

"Good morning Kyata! My my how lovely it is," Chi said.

"No morning is good if you have to wake up early," Kyata replied with a big yawn. Then she took a necklace out of her drawer and placed it in a small box.

"Who's the necklace for? Hmmm?" Chi inquired with great curiosity.

"It's for my cousin," Kyata answered. She put the box in a small square of smooth fabric and tied its ends together with a ribbon. "I thought she might like a welcoming gift."

"You still sound upset. I think that you are jealous," Chi remarked.

"I think you're insane. What do you know anyway? How to manipulate others? I'm really POed with my parents Chi. You wouldn't understand."

Then there was a knock at the door. "Mistress, your parents would like you to meet them in the main hall."

"Tell them I'll be right there," Kyata ordered. "Gotta go," she said as she strolled out of the room with the small bag.

~*~*~*~*~

"Kyata dear, your new sister will be here any minute now. Please behave and act kindly," her mother instructed.

"I'm not a child mother dear and I will behave properly," Kyata smart mouthed back.

Kyata opened one of the front doors and began to walk out. "Where are you going?" her father asked.

"I'd prefer to wait outside." Kyata closed the door behind her and sat down with the present tied around her wrist. "Ah, life can seem so depressing sometimes. To many worries, especially for a Sailor Zodia." She mumbled to herself.

Just then a limousine pulled up in the large driveway. It was a medium size, not too big or small. A chauffer stepped out and opened the large, black rear door. A girl stepped out, and she was very much like Kyata. She had shoulder length golden hair and dark blue eyes. She was wearing a yellow sundress and high sandals.

The girl skipped up the steps to Kyata. "You're my new sis, right?" she asked.

"I think your name is Kyata. I'm Aspasia."

"Yeah, that's my name," Kyata replied. "Nice to meet you. Come on, my - your - uh, our? - parents are waiting inside."

~*~*~*~*~

Aspasia decided to skip breakfast with her new family, she said that she was too anxious to eat, and asked Kyata to take her on a tour of the estate instead.

Chi silently decided to follow he two girls around. 'What's up with that kid,' Chi thought. 'She's got some really weird energy patterns.'

~*~*~*~*~

In the orchard behind her house Kyata remembered the small bag around her wrist. "Here," she said as she took the bag off her wrist and gave it to Aspasia.

"Oh, what's this?" Aspasia asked as she took the small gift.

"It's a present, I thought that you might like it. It's not much, but oh well."

Aspasia carefully pulled the ribbon loose and unfolded the cloth. She tenderly opened the box to find a silver y-necklace with a small rhinestone-studded star. "Wow! This is so pretty! Thank you so much!" Aspasia said as she threw her arms around Kyata. She released Kyata and fumbled with the clasp until she finally closed it around her neck.

Kyata laughed and replied, "Your very welcome. Is there anything that you'd like to do before it gets too late?"

"Um," Aspasia thought. "How about swimming? You have such a nice pool, and it's so convenient."

"Ok, since all your stuff isn't here you can borrow one of my bathing suits. Come on, my room is this way."

~*~*~*~*~

It was about 5:30, and Kyata and Aspasia had been swimming since noon. Kyata was drenched when she walked into her room. She peeled off her bathing suit and put on a white t-shirt and a long jumper made out of a thin, blue colored fabric.

She had just started drying out her hair when she heard the familiar voice of Chi. "Kyata, have you been enjoying your self?" the fox asked.

"Don't tell me, more stormy weather O-bearer-of-bad-news?" she joked.

"Yes in fact. I think that your cousin-"

"Sister."

"-is another Sailor Zodia. I would make sense. This sort of thing usually happens to a few families in particular. If one is a Sailor Zodia then one should keep and eye out for another of the same blood-line."

"Ok great. And how the heck am I supposed to tell her this? Can you answer that?"

"Well, maybe you can just tell her the truth."

"And would she believe me?"

"Hmm, good point. Well we could show her the dream-plane and tell her there."

"Doesn't she have to pass some tests like I did? I really don't want to stress her out."

"No. I think that your judgment can be trusted. We'll set our plan into action after dinner, then you'll have lots of energy."

"Right," Kyata sighed.

~*~*~*~*~

Chi had been waiting for Kyata to return with Aspasia. The two girls made quite a commotion as they strolled down the hall to Kyata's bedroom.

[Geez, I feel like I'm conspiring against Aspasia. I feel so bad.] Kyata thought as she entered her bedroom.

[Kyata, don't worry, your not doing anything wrong. This is essential.]

[Oh, so now you can invade my thoughts too, Chi? Wonderful.]

[I respect your privacy, but I need to instruct you step by step. OK, I'm going to transport you to the dream-plane now.]

[This warping business is getting boring. You're going to come too.] Kyata insisted.

[What?] Chi was caught off guard.

[You heard me, sort of. Well hurry up.] Kyata began talking to Aspasia again. "Ok, Aspasia, something really weird is about to happen. Don't freak."

"Right," Aspasia replied in a sarcastic manner.

Chi's moonstone began to glow and there was a blinding flash. The next instant the girls, and Chi, were gone.

~*~*~*~*~

"Where are we!? What the heck just happened!?" Aspasia yelled. The girls were in a forested area near a mountain. There were lots of large ferns and conifers.

"Man," Kyata sighed. "This was a real bad idea."

"Could you make her stop screaming?" Chi asked.

"Ok, come on Aspasia just calm down. It's not the end of the world," Kyata said.

"Well by the looks of it this is could be the end of the universe!"

"Listen! This is going to sound real weird. Ok, fox-girl and I think that you might be something called a Sailor Zodia. If you don't cooperate, there might not be and end of the universe to visit."

"Ok, I'm dreaming. Might as well. What do I need to do."

"Well," Chi began, "Take this pendant."

"What pendant?"

Chi's moonstone began to shine and a yellow moonstone materialized. "This will aid you in your transformation."

"Wow, free entry gift. Ok," Aspasia took the pendant and put it on around her neck. "Now what?"

Aqaurius tried to explain, "Hold your pendant with both hands, and say…"

"Zodia Capricorn power." Chi finished the sentence for Kyata.

"Right. Here goes. "Zodia Capricorn Power!" Her transformation was a success, and with a bright flash her uniform was on. It was a yellow outfit with light green lace. "Nice, I think I like this."

"Just wait," Kyata remarked. "I'm a Sailor Zodia too. Zodia Aquarius Power!" Kyata transformed into her light blue and light pink uniform. "Uh, Chi, you need to explain the rest."

"Right now you are on the dream-plane," Chi said to Sailor Capricorn. "Your mission is to defeat the Dark Zodia Dragon clan and restore the dream plane with the help of the other Sailor Zodia."

"Speak of the devil," Aquarius said as Sailor Virgo appeared. "Hey! How'd you know to come?"

"Oh, Chi told me," Virgo replied.

"When did you meet Chi...?" Aquarius grumbled.

Virgo ingnored the question. "So this is the new kid?"

"Yeah, that's me!" Capricorn said cheerfully. "I'm Aspasia, or Sailor Capricorn, I think."

"Sailor Sagittarius wanted to hold a meeting with us, so we better get going," Chi pressured them.

"I'll warp us," Virgo suggested.

"No, I don't want to risk that again," Aquarius contributed.

"You won't have to," a voice said. Zephyr materialized before the trio of girls. "I'll end your live this time!"

"Who's that?" Capricorn asked.

"Oh, her? She's not anything to worry about," Virgo answered.

"I took her out easy," Aquarius agreed.

"What?! You little brats!" Zephyr yelled. "West Wind!"

Virgo and Aquarius charged into battle, but Capricorn knelt down to avoid the gust of wind from Zephyr's attack. "Capricorn," Chi said as she jumped close to her. "I'm going to teach you how to use an attack. You need to focus your energy and say Cyclone Stallion!"

"Lovely Star!" Virgo yelled. The small ball of light homed in on Zephyr, but she managed to shake it off as she took flight.

"I'll try my best. Ok." Sailor Capricorn closed her eyes and relaxed herself.

"Cyclone Stallion!" A great white horse rose up behind Capricorn and it melted into a wave of water. The wave crashed into Zephyr, but for some reason it didn't affect the other two Sailors.

"Neat! That was so cool, Capricorn!" Aquarius exclaimed.

"I haven't seen you attack yet," Capricorn said to Aquarius.

"Oh, your right," she replied as a sweat bead formed on her forehead. "Hey, I bet we could take this witch out if we all attacked at once."

"Awesome idea!" Virgo agreed. "On the count of three… Three! Lovely Star!"

"Cyclone Stallion!"

"Cosmic Typhoon!"

The power of the three attacks overwhelmed Zephyr and sent her flying into a stone cliff. Zephyr let out a blood-curdling scream as she hit the cliff and fell to the ground, where she lay in a crumpled pile. Zephyr stood up and supported herself on the rocky wall. "You little wretches," Zephyr cried with pain.

"Oh, poor little Zephyr," a strange voice said with mock sympathy. The Sailors turned around to see another dragon-girl. She had shiny green wings, dark green hair, and wore a green tank-top and baggy satin green pants.

"Jezzebel?" Zephyr gasped.

"You let these babies beat you up, and, well, you lost the favor of the Dragon Mistress. Oh, how sad. If I were you, I wouldn't return. She'll probably have you executed or something seeing what a disgrace you've been to the Dark Zodia Dragons."

"I think you should throw yourself into a black hole!" Zephyr yelled at her.

Jezzebel smirked. "Well, I guess I'll be seeing you in your next existence, that is, if anyone bothers to regenerate you." Jezzebel disappeared as abruptly as she appeared.

"What's going on?" Capricorn asked Virgo.

"To tell you the truth, I don't really know," Virgo responded.

"I've nothing left to live for," Zephyr said as she slumped to the ground.

"Don't talk like that," Aquarius said.

"Don't try and comfort me, worm," Zephyr yelled. "This is all your fault!" she closed her eyes tight and disappeared.

~*~*~*~*~

"Well," Sailor Sagittarius began, "It appears that another war is about to begin."

"What should we do?" Aquarius asked.

"I can monitor the progress of the other Sailor Zodia. Some still haven't discovered their powers and others have no idea what's going on," Chi suggested.

"Ok, so we've got fine the other Sailor Zodia. No prob," Virgo said.

"It's not so easy. The unicorns say that only one other Sailor Zodia is on earth. Luckily she is located in your city, Virgo."

"It's my city too," Aquarius pouted.

"I've contacted Sail Leo and Sailor Aries. They're searching for the Sailor Zodia on other planets on throughout the universe. I need you to find the last Sailor Zodia on earth and come back here. We are running out of time quicker than we can guess."

"Sagittarius is right," Chi said. "The Dragon Mistress is a very aggressive enemy."

"Wow, this is intense," Capricorn commented.

"Do you know which Sailor Zodia is on earth?"

"No, I've already told you all I know," Sagittarius sighed.

"Thanks, you've been a big help," Aquarius said to Sagittarius. "We'll do everything in our power to locate the last Sailor Zodia. But let's get some sleep!" she yawned.

"I agree. This has been one exciting day," Capricorn said.

"Watch out reality," Sagittarius said as Chi and the girls warped.
