Thanx! -Pretty Sammi
It was a warm day, so Kyata decided to go explore the ruins. She quietly slipped through the shadows and back allies of Haven City until she reached the city ruins. Kyata enjoyed mapping out the piles of rubble and half destroyed buildings.
When she was safely inside the ruins she went to her favorites spot. But to Kyata's surprise, there was another girl there. At Kyata's first glance she had short blonde hair that was pulled back into puffy pigtails, and she had (change ) eyes.
"Uh, what are you doing here?" Kyata asked.
"I might ask you the same thing," the girl replied as she stood up. "My name is Omiru." Omiru offered her hand.
Kyata shook her hand. "Nice to meet you! I'm Kyata. So, come here often?"
"Yeah, you?"
"More times than you can count. Why do you come here? I usually visit just to get away and have fun," Kyata said.
"I just like being here. I guess it's the feeling that I'm doing something wrong and enjoying it too."
"Yeh, I know that. I like defying the really stupid rules that people make up."
The two girls engaged in conversation for a while, and then Omiru looked at her watch. "Oh my god, we've been talking so long!"
"Really, wow, I guess we should be getting home before someone notices we're missing.
"Yes," Omiru sighed. "Do ya wanna meet again tomorrow? After 3:30, I don't have a tutor like you. 4 sounds like a good time?"
"Sure," Kyata said. As Omiru stood up, a necklace fell out of her shirt. It was a green colored star sapphire set in a silver star, almost exactly like Kyata's. "Well see ya."
"See ya."
~*~*~*~
Kyata was in her bedroom, and Apollo conveniently decided to make the canopy on Kyata's bed his new hang out. "Come here Apollo, come on," she coaxed. "Great. I guess I need a kitty treat," she said as she reached into her drawer and pulled out a catnip mouse. She dropped it on the floor and Apollo jumped down and began to sneak up on it.
Kyata scooped up Apollo and plopped down on her bed. Aries and Aphrodite fought over the catnip toy playfully. "She had a pendant like mine, this is so weird," she said to herself. "I really don't need anymore mysteries after the incident last Friday."
"This is no mystery, it's actually quite simple."
"Won't you just go away Chi? Or do I need to call an exterminator?" Kyata said in a frustrated tone.
"She's another Sailor Zodia who has also discovered her power. You should tell her you're Sailor Aquarius. Working in groups is so much more pleasant than working alone," Chi commented.
"Ok, but I have one more question. Where was I?" Kyata asked.
"What do you mean?"
"Last Friday I Know I wasn't anywhere near her, so where was I?"
"On a dream plane. That's where you'll fight most of your battles from now on. Now get some sleep. You'll have a big day tomorrow," Chi said before she disappeared.
"Perfect, really," Kyata sighed as she fell asleep. ~*~*~*~
"Geez, this is so boring," Kyata mumbled as her tutor raved on about the world a million years ago. The clock had distracted her all afternoon, and the current time, 3:17, seemed to have slipped up on her quickly. Kyata's tutor finally noticed.
"Stop looking at the clock and pay attention," she demanded.
"Wo, who put a stick up your butt? I've learned this a million times - once for each year I have to go back to study it. I wish I could learn something new," Kyata complained.
"Well, maybe if you showed me that you were paying attention I would give you some new material! You got 15 problems wrong on your last test!"
"15 out of a hundred you smart [censored]!" Kyata got up and marched out of the room.
"Where do you think your going?" her tutor asked impatiently.
"I've got to meet someone so lay off." Kyata yelled back as she marched towards her room. ~*~*~*~
Kyata marched out the door at promptly 3:30 with a full wallet. On the way to the monorail she bought some soft frozen yogurt as a snack. The monorail was always crowded at this time, so Kyata sat in the very back.
When she got off she slipped through the back alleys as usual. When Kyata got the city ruins Omiru was already there.
"Hey, what took you so long? I thought you had died or something," Omiru called out.
"Well if I had stuck around my tutor any longer I probably would have died from boredom," Kyata replied. "Hey there's something I want to talk about Omiru."
"What's wrong? Boyfriend trouble?"
"No, it's more serious than that. Show me your necklace, Ok?
"Yeah, whatever," Omiru said as she pulled her pendant out of her shirt. "See, it's nothing special."
"Yes it is, I know your just telling me it's not," Kyata said as she pulled her pendant out from under her shirt.
"Oh, wow, this is great!" Omiru exclaimed. "You're a Sailor Zodia too! I guess this calls for a reintroduction. I'm Sailor Zodia Virgo, the Beautiful Maiden!"
"I'm Sailor Aquarius. I'm the Water Bearer, so exciting, huh?" Omiru giggled at Kyata's last comment.
"Well, I guess the Water Bearer is sorta dull, but oh well! That's not what counts. We can work together and stuff."
"I guess," Kyata wasn't very enthusiastic.
"Oh, I see, you don't like this hero business do you? Don't worry, I'll change that," Omiru said as she grabbed Kyata's hand. "Come on there's this place I want you to see."
Omiru quickly led Kyata through the ruins to a cleared spot. It was very near the innermost wall of the Dome. Omiru held her pendant with her left hand and Kyata's hand with her right. "Cosmos Warp!" In an instant the two disappeared. ~*~*~*~
Kyata found herself walking on the clouds. 'No these aren't clouds, ' she realized, 'it's just mist or steam.' "Omiru, where are we?" Kyata asked.
"Right now we're in the unicorn's territory on the dream plane. Their breeding grounds are nearby if you want to see some new borns," Omiru replied casually.
"Unicorns? I thought they were mythical."
"Not here silly! This is the dream plane, not many things follow the typical rules of reality. See over here is my favorite Unicorn, Night Rhapsody," Omiru said as she wlked over to a black unicorn with a silver horn. It greeted her with a cheerful whiney. The unicorn had a smal grey foal quvering beneath her. "She just had a baby!"
"Why did you bring me here Omiru? I'm dying to know."
"Well, Kyata, this is a part of the dream plane that hasn't been destroyed the Dark Zodia. This is what we're fighting to protect. The entire dream plane used to be like this, but the Dark Zodia have been planting these dark seeds that destroy the land all across the dream plane. We have to prevent them from spreading more seeds and try to restore the damaged parts of the plane. Understand?"
"Yeah. At least now I know what's going on. So who takes care of the unicorns?"
"Another of the Sailor Zodia guards them. I'll take you to meet her if you want," Omiru said.
"Sure! Lead on," Kyata said excitedly. ~*~*~*~
Omiru showed Kyata to a small house nearby. She knocked on the door a few times, and someone from inside sang, "Coming."
"Why hello! It's been a while Sailor Virgo. Who's your friend?" The woman asked.
"This is my new pal Kyata, Sailor Aquarius. Kyata, this is Sailor Sagittarius," Omiru said.
"What a pleasure to meet you," Sailor Sagittarius said.
"The pleasure's all mine," Kyata replied.
Sailor Sagittarius seemed to be a young woman, about 19 years old. She was wearing a uniform similar to Kyata's uniform, except for everything was black and magenta, and her pendant was magenta too. Sagittarius had a deep, beautiful voice.
"Omiru tells me that you care for the unicorns," Kyata remarked.
"Why yes of course! I love the unicorns. They're so peaceful and friendly, they're almost human in some ways. Please come in so we can talk some more," Sailor Sagittarius said.
Her house was like a cottage. Everything was in perfect order, and jars of herbs and plants lined the walls of the house.
"I protect the unicorns since they despise harming other creatures. The unicorns in turn provide me with knowledge and company," Sagittarius explained.
"But what do you protect them from? Everyone's talking about an enemy, and I've heard something about a Dark Zodia. But I can't figure out who we're fighting," Kyata said.
"Oh, yeah, that's right! I forgot to tell you that Kyata!" Omiru exclaimed.
"We are not quite sure yet. The Dark Zodia revealed them selves very recently. Although I have a hunch that it's the Dragon Mistress, the head of the Dark Dragon Clan. She's always hated the dream planes for some reason," Sagittarius told Kyata.
"OK, that helps. So you don't know much about the enemy yet?"
"No, but-" Sagittarius was cut off by a loud crash outside. Kyata ran out the door with Omiru right behind her. They found a demon with large bat-like wings was attacking the unicorns. One of the unicorns had gotten trapped under a tree that the demon knocked over.
Kyata grabbed her pendant. "Aquarius Zodia Power!" she yelled. A light sprouted from her hands, and it engulfed her with a bright flash. The light disappeared in an instant and Aquarius was ready to fight. Omiru had transformed too, and her uniform was light green and gray.
"Ready Aquarius?" Virgo asked.
"Yeah, lets go," Aquarius said as she tried to compose her self. A panicked feeling over came her mind.
"Hey you!" Virgo yelled at the demon. "Lovely Star!" A small sphere formed on Virgo's outstretched hand, and it zipped at the demon just grazing it's arm.
The demon stopped and charged the two girls instead. Virgo quickly ran out of the way but Aquarius froze. She was paralyzed with fear. Then a wonderful sensation rushed through her veins; it reached into every corner of her soul. Then the word came to the tip of her tongue; "Celestial Typhoon!"
She quickly stretched out her arm and a powerful blast of water spiraled towards the demon. It hit with perfect accuracy and knocked the demon out of the air. It screeched as it fell, and it was such a loud and horrible sound that Aquarius had to cover her ears. When the demon smashed into the ground the screaming stopped, but her ears were still ringing painfully.
The Demon got up and began to attack again. Then there was another voice. Aquarius could hear it through the ringing. It was a clear beautiful voice. "Centaur's Arrow!" An arrow flew and struck the demon straight through the heart. I fell to the ground once more and landed with a thump. This time it didn't get up. The demons eyes rolled back into its head, and that was the end of the demon.
"Good job girls," Sagittarius said. "It was a nice first battle Aquarius."
"How did you know it was my first?" Aquarius asked.
"Because it reminds me of my first fight with the Dark Zodia," Sagittarius replied casually.
Virgo turned and looked at the injured unicorn that had been trapped under the tree.
"Don't worry about the unicorns, Virgo. I'll take care of him, but I suggest that you two get back to reality. Time flows faster here. Living in reality and spending too much time here can be dangerous,."
"Ok," Virgo said. She took Aquarius's hand. "Cosmos Warp!"
There was a flash, but the landscape of the destination was total destruction. It was almost compleatly dark.
Aquarius sounded fearful, "Where are we?"
