This chapter is fairly short, but necessary to the compleation of the series. Sorry, I'll finish the next chapter as soon as possible. I don't own Sailor Moon or any rights to Sailor Moon, but I do own all the characters in this series. Don't steal them, please. Flame me when you're done at lildragon@snet.net. Thanx.

Zodia Aries Saga
Chapter Two

Seventh of the Dream-Moon, First of the Storm Moon, 18th of June in standard, year 3058

Today will be the last day I will make an entry as Serenissima. Saffron was right when she gave me this electronic notebook, because now I must save all my previous entries as well as this one to a restricted file, accessible only by using a special key sequence and then a password. From now on all my entries will be as Milagre, for that will be my name while in the service of Princess Mercedes. Saffron will become Veronica, and Sophia Camille. I have not told Mercedes this, but I know that she is expecting me.

As I look out my two small windows, I wonder exactly what my future will hold. Sagittarius has reported that a few of the other Sailor Zodia have been rounded up, and they themselves are in the process of gathering the remaining Sailor Zodia.

I sit here in the fields and remember the restricting environment of a palace. I would gladly go back, knowing that my kingdom was safe and my father was alive, but I know neither of these are true. I go back with knowledge of horrible events and immediate danger. I must do the best to conceal my identity and those of my companions.

Now I hear Saffron calling me. I will not be myself for so long, possibly forever. Good-bye, Princess Serenissima.

-Princess Serenissima, Sailor Zodia Aries

Serenissima's eyes silently overflowed with tears. She heard someone climbing the steps and walk down the hallway to her small room.

"Serenissima, we've got to leave soon." It was Saffron. When she saw Serenissima's tear stained face she threw her arms around her and began to cry as well. "I'm so sorry, I'm sorry. I wish I could do something, but I can't."

"Please don't cry," Serenissima said through her sobs and tears. "It's not your fault. If you continue to cry, I will be forced to do so as well." Serenissima managed to choke down her tears and control her breathing. She wiped her eyes on her sleeve, and then she dried Saffron's face.

"I seems that you're even more mature than I," Saffron said nervously, still shaking with her quick, jerking breathes.

"No, my heart is made of stone, or at least it is now," Serenissima answered. "Come on, let's go now and get this over with as soon as possible."

"Right," Saffron agreed.

They descended the stairs together, and found Sophia and Sailor Sagittarius waiting in the kitchen. Sagittarius embraced Serenissima and kissed her forehead.

"Little sister, do not despair. Good things come to those who wait," she said gently.

"Thank you. You have been so kind, but now I must leave you," Serenissima said.

"Fare well, Princess," Sagittarius said.

"Fare well, Unicorn keeper," Serenissima replied. She took the Miracle Jewel out of her bag. Sophia joined hands with Saffron, Saffron with Serenissima, and Serenissima held the jewel with a tight fist. The jewel began to glow, and then it released a bright flash of light. When Sagittarius's eyes finally readjusted, Serenissima and her companions were gone.
