The Zodiac Senshi Trials
The Air Trials
By Wendy Olson
Rosa’s Trial
Kelly, Rosa, Mindy and Wendy appeared in the sky. The four girls were standing on clouds. Wendy immediately grabbed a hold of
Mindy. She nearly knocked Mindy off the
clouds. “Hey, watch it!” Mindy yelled
and pushed her sister off of her.
“Where do you suppose we are?” asked Kelly.
“I don’t know. I
just hope these clouds hold. Maybe I can
try to call Pegasus?” Wendy said. Just
as she prepared to call the flying horse the clouds shifted. The clouds took the girls away from each
other. Well, Mindy and Wendy stayed
together.
Rosa stood on her cloud all alone. She didn’t dare to look down. Rosa had never been that fond of
heights. Rosa sat on to the clouds
feeling that it was safer that way. Rosa
closed her eyes and rubbed them with her hands.
When Rosa opened her eyes she was in a memory. Rosa was 5 years old. She was dressed in a Flamenco dress. Her dress was dark pink with light pink
dots. Rosa always liked the color
pink. Her hair was pulled up into her
bun. She was watching her mom
dance. Rosa’s mother was a great
Flamenco dancer.
As Rosa watched she started to copy her. The audience began to notice Rosa. They began to clap and holler at her. “Dance with your mother!” they told her. A little embarrassed Rosa sat down.
Rosa mother heard the audience and stopped. She walked over to her daughter. Rosa’s mother bent down and looked at
Rosa. She held out her hand and said, “Dance
with me.” Rosa smiled and nodded yes.
Rosa watched as her mother danced and copied
exactly. Rosa’s father sat in the
audience and clapped and laughed with everyone else. Rosa did the steps beautifully. Her mother didn’t know how good she had
become.
After the dance was over Rosa’s mother gave Rosa a
rose. She took it out of her own hair
and placed it behind Rosa’s ear. Rosa
was so happy. Rosa loved to dance and
now she did it with her mother. Rosa’s
mother picked her up and they bowed to the audience together.
When Rosa opened her eyes she saw her mother standing on
the clouds with her. “How could you lose
sight of your goal?” she asked.
Rosa just looked at her mother. “What do you mean? I still am one of the
worlds best dancers wheather or not I’m Sailor Libra!”
“That is not the answer I was looking for.” Rosa’s mother
threw castanets at Rosa. The castanets
became big and hit Rosa nearly knocking her from the clouds.
Rosa stood back onto her feet. She didn’t understand what was
happening. “Mama.” she said with tears
in her eyes. “Libra Crystal Make-Up!”
she called. Rose colored air surrounded her
and she became Super Sailor Libra. Her
uniform changed a little. Her sleeves
now had transparent parts. There is a
white stripe around the bottom of her skirt.
Her broach now has the Libra symbol on the outside with her sailor
crystal on the inside. Her back bows
grew longer. The tiara’s gem became star
shaped.
“I have to kill you.
You can’t be a sailor.” Libra’s mother said. She threw another castanet at Libra. This time she missed.
“You are not my Mama! Libra Blind Tornado!” Libra’s new power
is a rose colored tornado. The tornado
crashed into the fake mother and destroyed her.
Sailor Libra stood on the clouds still worried about the
fall. Soon rose colored light surrounded
her and she was gone.
