Kelly’s Trial

Kelly, Rosa, Mindy and Wendy appeared in the sky. The four girls were standing on clouds. Wendy immediately grabbed a hold of Mindy. She nearly knocked Mindy off the clouds. “Hey, watch it!” Mindy yelled and pushed her sister off of her.

“Where do you suppose we are?” asked Kelly.

“I don’t know. I just hope these clouds hold. Maybe I can try to call Pegasus?” Wendy said. Just as she prepared to call the flying horse the clouds shifted. The clouds took the girls away from each other. Well, Mindy and Wendy stayed together.

Soon Kelly was alone in the sky. “This suit is kind of drafty.” Kelly told herself about her swimming suit. As Kelly tried to fix her suit the clouds made her fall. She landed face first onto the clouds.

When Kelly looked up again she was in her memory. She was 17 years old swimming laps at her high school swimming pool. Kelly was being trained by her best friend and manager Liam O’Farrell. Liam was one year older then Kelly. Liam had dark green hair and green eyes.

After Kelly stopped Liam shouted, “A new record for you Kelly!”

“Of course!” she sarcastically said as she exited the pool.

That night Liam and Kelly went to a party. The two had decided to date. They had been best friends since they were kids. As the two sat awkwardly at the party they watched a bunch of kids smoking. “That’s bad for me health.” Liam whispered to Kelly. Kelly laughed.

Liam then decided to lean in for a kiss. As the two shared their first kiss they heard a boy scream, “Fire!”

Liam and Kelly unlocked lips and looked around. The building they were in had caught on fire. “Go!” Liam shouted at Kelly.

Kelly started to run towards the door with Liam right by her side. After she was outside she noticed Liam was not with her. She turned around and didn’t see him anywhere. “LIAM!” she shouted. There was no answer.

Kelly then ran to the house. She desperately tried to get back in. The flames were too high now. A younger boy grabbed her and pulled her back. Kelly slapped him and broke lose of his hold. Kelly then ran to a window. Kelly once again tried to get in. This time she was pulled back by a fireman.

“You can’t go in lass.” he told her.

Full of tears Kelly cried, “Liam is in there!”

The fireman touched her shoulder and said, “Then let the professionals find him.” After that was said the fireman went inside. Kelly sat on the ground crying. She never wanted to move from the spot until Liam was found.

After what seemed like an eternity the firemen came back out. The one Kelly had talked to was carrying a green haired boy. Kelly ran to Liam. She hugged him tight. “Sorry.” Liam whispered.

Kelly kissed his forehead and said, “I love you always and forever.” She kissed him again just as he passed away. At that moment Kelly decided to become a fireman. Had she been one she could have saved her love.

Kelly sat crying into the clouds. “You need to learn and train if you are to avenge me.” Kelly knew that voice anywhere. When she looked up she saw Liam standing there. Kelly began to sob.

“Liam?” she questioned through tears.

“Yes, it is me. How could you lose sight of swimming and firefighting? Being a sailor will not get me back.” he told her in a mean tone.

“I can’t get you back anyway. You are gone.” she whispered.

Liam walked over to her and put his hand on her face. Kelly could feel his warmth. Liam whipped her tears away. “I can’t do this. My memory should not be used to hurt my love.” Liam said to no one. Kelly didn’t understand. “Call out ‘Aquarius Crystal Make-Up’ and become your new form.”

Kelly stood onto her feet and did as Liam asked. Soon blue air that had water in it surrounded her. Kelly became Super Sailor Aquarius. Her uniform changed slightly. Around the bottom was a white stripe. Her back bows grew longer. The sleeves had transparent parts. The tara’s gem was now in the shape of a star. Her broach now contained her sailor crystal with the Aquarius symbol on the outside.

“Now what?” Aquarius asked the not real Liam.

“You need to kill me. Use your new power.” he told her. Aquarius’ tears began to flow again.

“I don’t want to lose you again.” Aquarius hugged him. Liam patted her head.

“I’m not real. I’m just a figment. I’m sorry the real Liam left you. You have a better duty now. Help the Zodiac Senshi fight evil and save the world. Please, do it.”

Sailor Aquarius nodded her head and said, “Aquarius Windy Tsunami!” Blue waves and wind crashed onto Liam. Liam smiled and waved goodbye as he was destroyed.

Aquarius sat on the clouds and cried. Blue light surrounded her as she cried and she was gone.
