Heather’s Trial

Kim, Esa and Heather looked around their new surroundings once they opened their eyes.  They were in a cavern of lava and fire. The place was very hot.  “I think we’re in a volcano.” Esa stated before anyone could ask.

“Aye, but how do we get back?” Heather asked.  Before Kim or Esa could reply flames grew so large they had to move out of the way.  When the three looked again they saw that they were now alone.

As Heather looked around she could see that she was in front of a lake of lava.  The lake was growing steadily towards her.  “Sweet Bridget.” Heather said to herself.

Heather walked backwards to get away from the lava and ran into the volcano wall.  She fell forward and hit the ground.  Once she opened her eyes she was in a memory.  Heather was 10 years old.  She was riding her favorite horse Horsey.  Heather’s parents raised sheep.  Her father only liked sheep.  Sheep could be sold, eaten or made into wool.  He hated horses, especially Heather’s Horsey.

One day after Heather put Horsey in his stall her father came in.  He wanted to ride the paint.  Heather let him, because he was her father.  Her father took out Horsey and got onto his back.  Horsey didn’t like this one bit.  He could tell the man on his back didn’t like him.

After a few walks around the corral Heather’s father wanted to take Horsey out into the forest that was next to their home.  Horsey, on the other hand, wanted no such thing.  Horsey bucked Heather’s father to the ground.  Horsey didn’t stop there.  He brought his hooves down upon her father’s arm.

“You wanker!” her father screamed as he got back up.  Heather ran to Horsey and stopped him from rearing any longer.  “That’s it!  I’m putting you down.”

“No! He is mine!” Heather’s screamed at her father.

Her father was still cradling his arm.  “Well, just wait till I get back from Hospital.  I think me arm is broken!”  With that Heather’s father stormed off.

Heather took Horsey to the forest.  She took off his saddle and everything else.  “Go Horsey.” Heather pushed the horse.  He didn’t seem to understand.

“You must leave. I will not let my father kill you!” Heather yelled at the horse with tears in her eyes.  This time Horsey understood.  He galloped away only looking back once.

Once Heather’s father came home he had a cast on his arm.  “Where is that blasted horse!” he commanded from Heather.

She was still crying.  “He jumped the fence.”

“He ran away?” Her father questioned not truly believing her.

“Ay.”  With that the matter was settled.  Heather was never allowed to have a horse again.   This didn’t stop her from wanting to be a vet and her love of horses.

After Heather opened her eyes once again she could see her father standing above her.  “So, you let that horse go?  Well, well, then this is a great reason to kill you.  The sailor thing is also good, but not as good!”  Before she could stand on her feet he threw balls of water at her.  They hit her and prevented her from standing.

“Horsey didn’t deserve to die!  He was mine.  Being a sailor is also mine!”  Heather stood on her feet and called, “Aries Crystal Make-Up!”  White flames covered Heather until she became Super Sailor Aries.  He uniform changed a little.  Around the bottom of her skirt was a red stripe.  Her tiara’s gem was now the shape of a star.  Her sleeves now have transparent parts.  Her broach now has her sailor crystal inside with the Aries symbol on the outside.  Her back bows grew longer.

“Aries Fire Spinning Wheel!”  A spinning wheel that you spin wool on appeared in front of Aries.  Instead of wool it had white fire.  The fire came out at her fake dad in circles.  It melted him.

Aries then could see the lava was getting closer.  Just as the lava was about to hit her white light surrounded her and she was gone.
