Kim, Esa and Heather looked around their new surroundings once they opened their eyes.  They were in a cavern of lava and fire. The place was very hot.  “I think we’re are in a volcano.” Esa stated before anyone could ask.

“Aye, but how do we get back?” Heather asked.  Before Kim or Esa could reply flames grew so large they had to move out of the way.  When the three looked again they saw that they were now alone.

Esa didn’t understand how they got there or why they were there.  “I wish I had my computer.” Esa whispered to herself.  Esa began to walk to where she thought they had appeared.  Just as she moved the flames surrounded her.  Esa fell to the ground to get out of the way.

When Esa opened her eyes again she was seeing a memory.  Esa was 7 years old watching her aunt.  Her aunt was a doctor in a free clinic.  These clinics were needed where Esa lived.  She lived in a poor town.  Esa was raised by her aunt after her parents were lost.  No one ever knew if they died or what had happened to them.  They just didn’t come home one day.

Esa always loved to watch her aunt work.  She was very good at her job.  Esa sat in the back and watched her help a child Esa’s age.  The boy seemed to have pneumonia.  After her aunt left, Esa went to talk to the boy.

            “How are you?” she asked.

The boy looked at her very strangely.  “I’m sick.” he stated.

“I’m sorry.  My aunt is very good.  I’m sure she can make you well.” Esa had always sounded older than she was.  Esa was a fast learner.

Esa’s aunt came back to the boy. She gave the boy some medicine.  The boy and his mother left with it.  “That was very nice of you, Lion-heart.” Lion-heart was what Esa’s aunt always called her.

“I hope that boy gets better.  Do you think he will, Auntie?” Esa asked her.  Esa’s aunt looked down at the small girl.  Little Esa looked up at her with her big gold eyes.  The look was that of pure innocence.

“I don’t know Lion-heart.  That boy is very sick.  He needed to receive his medicine a long time ago.  His mother didn’t know how sick he was.  All we can do now is wait and hope.” Esa’s aunt told her.  Esa’s gold eyes filled with tears.  She knew very well that he most likely wouldn’t make it.

A few weeks later the boy came back to the clinic.  He showed no signs of the illness.  The boy’s mother was there to thank Esa’s aunt.  As the older women talked the boy walked over to Esa.  Esa was sitting in the back watching as always.

            “Thank you.” he said.

This time is was Esa’s turn to look confused.  “I didn’t do anything.” she softly muttered.

The boy just smiled and went back to his mother.  Esa didn’t understand.  After the boy and his mother left Esa asked her aunt about it.  Her aunt looked very happy.

“You made the boy feel good.  Sometimes that works just as well as medicine, Lion-heart.”

Esa opened her eyes to see the flames had moved away from her.  She then could see her aunt standing in front of her.  “How could you, Lion-heart?”

“I still will be the best doctor in Africa.  Do not worry so much.” Esa replied.

Her aunt then threw water at her.  For some odd reason it burned.  Esa then got back up.  “Leo Crystal Make-Up!” she called.  Gold flames surrounded her and changed her into Super Sailor Leo.  Leo’s uniform changed a little.  Her sailor crystal was now inside the star broach and the Leo symbol was on the outside.  The tiara’s gem was now a star.  There was a red stripe around the bottom of the skirt. Her back bows grew longer.  The sleeves now had transparent parts.  Lastly was the gold computer on her left wrist and forearm.  It sort of looked like the one Buzz Lightyear had in the movie Toy Story.

Leo opened the computer.  As she pressed buttons the screen appeared.  It came down from her tiara.  It was a square and only covered her left eye.  Leo used it to survey her aunt.  “You are not real.  Leo Burning Claws!”  The lion appeared and swiped the air with it’s claws.  This produced six sets of flames.  The flames hit the aunt and burned her to the ground.

After the fake aunt was gone Sailor Leo used her new computer to try and figure out where she was.  “None of this is real.” As she spoke gold light surrounded her and she was gone.
